Y. Hata had the wonderful opportunity to partner with Punahou and their PUEO Program by donating hundreds of cans of Spam® in August of 2021.
The Spam® perfectly complemented sweet rolls and five-pound bags of rice that were also collected. The food went into food bags, along with two quarts of frozen Punahou Portuguese bean soup and donated to thankful local families in need.
Founded at Punahou School in 2005, the PUEO (Partnerships in Unlimited Educational Opportunities) Program provides a consistent and comprehensive summer learning program which includes year-round events to foster a cohort experience and continuum of learning. PUEO’s mission is to graduate scholars with the skills, confidence, and resilience to be college ready.
