Dry Grated Parmesan
Melts instantly on your tongue, giving you an instant blast of umami flavor. Because Parmesan melts quickly and is often used grated and sprinkled directly onto pizza, soup or pasta. Grated parm is dried, making it shelf stable, perfect for table to shakers.
Fancy Shredded Parmesan
Perfect for adding texture to casseroles, risotto, or other baked dishes. Shredded parm is not aged as long as shaved or grated parm, it therefore has a higher moisture content and a milder flavor profile.
Used to add an artistic topping to salads. Aged longer compared to shredded parm, contains less moisture and has a superior flavor profile.
